Covenant, a context entirely free from the Torah’s legal prescriptions. You are not slave children, like Ishmael, son of Hagar, who can represent Mount Sinai and all the legal prescriptions of the Torah. We can almost hear Paul laughing derisively as he writes: “Do you really want to be subject to the Torah?” Then do what the story says: “Drive out the slave woman and her son … ” (v. 30 citing Gen 21:10).
